Overview

Non-Immigrant “O” Visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for various purposes, including:

  • Family member of a Thai national
  • Volunteer for an NGO or a charitable organization
  • Retirement (aged over 50 with state pension)
  • Staying with a Non-Thai Family Member Residing in Thailand (Longer than 60 Days)
  • Staying with a Thai Family Member Residing in Thailand (Longer than 60 Days)

A Single-Entry Non-Immigrant “O” Visa is valid for entering Thailand once within 3 months from the date of issue. The initial period of stay is up to 90 days.

If a traveler would like to stay longer, extending your stay to 1 year is possible. An application for an extension or Re-Entry Permit (Single or Multiple entries) can be submitted at the immigration office in Thailand.
