This type of visa is issued to foreign citizens who wish to enter the Kingdom of Thailand to spend an extented period of time in retirement (Long stay for foreigners aged over 50). This allows the visa holder to enter Thailand with a maximum stay of 1 year per entry and multiple entries. Those holding this visa are required to report to the Immigration Office every 90 days.
Eligibility:
1. Applicant must be aged 50 years and over (on the day of submitting application).
2. Having no criminal record in Thailand and the country of the applicant’s nationality or residence.
3. Swiss nationality or Swiss/Liechtenstein the permanent residence C permit ONLY.
4. The applicant must not have a prohibited disease as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation Number 14, B.E. 2535 (1992), such as leprosy, tuberculosis, drug addiction, elephantiasis, or third phase of syphilis
5. Employment is not allowed.
Extension is possible for 1 year every year. An application with one of the Thai participating insurance certificates can be submitted for an extension or Re-Entry Permit (Single or Multiple entries) at the immigration office in Thailand.
