From 1 October 2025, foreign nationals entering India will be required to submit an online application for an e-Arrival Card, replacing the traditional paper disembarkation card.

The e-Arrival Card can be completed up to 5 days before arrival via the official Indian Visa Online Website and requires details such as passport information, contact details, the purpose of the visit, and the address in India.

Physical cards will be available during a transition period of up to six months, but travellers are encouraged to use the digital option for a faster experience.
